This Java 8 certification Upgrade exam is for those, who already has certificate in Java SE 6 or prior versions. The 1Z0-813 exam verifies the knowledge of the new features of Java SE 7 and Java SE 8 versions: language enhancements, concurrency, localization, Java File I/O (NIO.2), lambda, Java collections and Java streams.

  2. Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 8 Programmer Exam 1Z0-809 is also for OCPJP 8 (1Z0-809) exam, but can be used for the 1Z0-813 as well.
  3. Exam 1Z0-810: Upgrade Java SE 7 to Java SE 8 OCP Programmer Study Guide by Mikalai Zaikin is written for another upgrade exam - OCPJP 8 Update from Java 7 and cannot be used as the only one source for preparation to this exam.
